Lalibela Game Reserve

Tree Tops Lodge Location Map

Tree Tops Lodge is a luxury tented lodge, situated in the 10,500 hectare malaria-free Lalibela Game Reserve in the heart of the Eastern Cape.

Early morning and sunset game drives in an open vehicle with an experienced game ranger will bring you face to face with a multitude of game species. With the recent release of the African lion into the reserve, Lalibela now offers a Big 5 game viewing experience. Other wildlife found on the reserve include hippo, giraffe, zebra, warthog and numerous species of antelope such as eland, kudu, bushbuck and wildebeest.

Dining at Tree Tops is unforgettable - whether it is brunch on a sunlit deck overlooking the small waterhole, or dinner in an indoor dining room or outdoor boma - guests can enjoy true safari cuisine with an emphasis on local specialities.

In-between game drives, guests can sun themselves around the swimming pool or relax in the shaded gazebo or lounge area.

The luxury safari tents at Tree Tops are perched high on thatched platforms at 'tree top' level, and joined by raised walkways. They offer spectacular views over the thickly-wooded valley.

The rooms, with their canvas walls and thatched roofs have huge window areas and give guests the feeling of being right in the bush.

Each room has air conditioning and a private veranda where guests can sit and relax in privacy.

Start TestimonialThank you so much for all your help with booking our holiday, we had a fantastic time! It was actually very funny, we were sat with 4 other people around a camp fire on safari and everyone was talking about the excellent service they had from their travel agent and low and behold, we had all booked through you! Lalibela Tree Tops was great. In particular the staff was amazing and the ranger who took on all the game drives, Bruce, was exceptional. The quality of the accommodation was good and the food was really fantastic. Les Cascades was by far the best place that we stayed. The rooms were fantastic, the hosts were so welcoming and we were just really sad that we didn't have longer to stay. It's such a super location, the main lodge is absolutely amazing and the quality of the breakfast was superb.End Testimonial

Start TestimonialJust a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our holiday. The B&Bs and hotels were all very good together with their locations. Plumwood Inn was excellent in all respects but especially in the welcome and helpfulness of the staff/owners. We spent the first 2 nights there and it got the holiday off to a great start. The treatment we had at Tree Tops was first class, the ranger and housekeeper couldn't have been nicer and turned what could have been a fairly miserable couple of days, due to the weather, into a memorable experience. Thank you for your assistance in organising this for us. I had to drag my wife back onto the aircraft when we came home. I will have no trouble in recommending your company to my friends and family.End Testimonial
