Each bedroom has French doors which lead onto a balcony with views over the landscaped tropical garden and out across the ocean.

There is a professional and fully equipped local Dive Centre, located close to the hotel, whose experienced and safety conscience team will reassure the novice and challenge the more experienced diver. Whether its snorkelling amongst the rich marine life that inhabit the coral reefs, or swimming with the Humpback whales during their migration, the Z Hotel can assist you with all your diving needs.

The hotel works in partnership with 2 local international charter companies to offer deep sea fishing.

Excursions to Stone Town are also available to book with the hotel on arrival - guests wishing to explore more of the Island will find an array of excursions on offer including visits to Jozani Forest (home to the endangered Red Colobus Monkey), a Spice Tour, a Prison Island excursion and a visit to the Mnarani Turtle Sanctuary.

Tanzania has a large Muslim population on the island of Zanzibar. Modesty of dress is expected when outside the hotel's grounds. Trousers are entirely acceptable, but short skirts and bare arms should be avoided. Scarves must be worn over the head (and shoes removed) when entering a mosque.
