General Information For Guests
The Pwani Rooms are ocean-facing, overlooking landscaped gardens, while the Bahari Rooms are situated close to the beach.
Hair dryers are provided in every room.
There is complimentary Wi-Fi available however the connection is not very stable.
The tap water in your room is safe for cleaning/brushing teeth but NOT for drinking.
The main Mwambao Restaurant is ideally located next to the pool and enjoys panoramic ocean views and a soothing sea breeze. Buffet breakfasts, lunches and themed dinners are all served at Mwambao depending on the chosen meal plan. Far Eastern Fusion cuisine is available on the beach at the Kivuli Bar andamp; Restaurant while the poolside Mawimbi Bar is the perfect oasis to take a break from the sun and indulge in a cocktail. The Casablanca Lounge is a traditional coffee bar, which transforms into a night-club after hours.
Sultan Sands guests share many facilities with Bluebay Beach Resort, including the famous Oasis Spa and the One Ocean Dive Centre. They also share a 582m stretch of beach with Bluebay as well. There is also an air-conditioned and fully equipped gym and a floodlit tennis court.
Guests staying at Sultan Sands do not have access, however, to other Bluebay Beach Resort facilities such as their restaurants, bars and pools.
A range of watersports and activites can be arranged at the Recreation and Water Sports Centre including big game fishing, boat trips and dhow cruises, windsurfing, canoes, paddleboarding, and snorkelling.
There is also two boutiques offering a wide range of East African crafts, books, postcards, souvenirs and gifts as well as clothing, jewellery and accessories, and beachwear, sun cream and sunglasses, and other general toiletries.
The drive from the airport is about 45 to 60 minutes.
Guests wishing to use the hotel facilities after the normal check out time until their departure are asked to contact the hotel reception to make suitable arrangements. Additional costs may apply.
Please note sometimes you may experience a powercut in the resorst or on the island. When this happens, the resort generators take over the electricity production. Usually this takes only a few minutes.
