Welgevonden Private Game Reserve

Sediba Luxury Safari Lodge Location Map

Sediba Luxury Safari Lodge is situated in the 34,000 hectare malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve and consists of 2 separate lodges separated by a 10 minute drive.

The reserve is home to Africa's 'Big Five', along with more than 300 bird species and 50 different mammals such as giraffe, kudu, zebra, as well as unusual species like the brown hyena, aardwolf and aardvark. In addition, it features the largest population of white rhino in any of Africa’s private reserves.

A wildlife world of adventure awaits guests on game drives in open jeeps and bush walks under the guidance of the experienced and knowledgeable rangers. Game drives are restricted to the extensive road network as off-roading is not permitted here.

In between game drives, pamper your mind, body and soul with a variety of relaxing spa treatments or work out in the gym.

The gourmet chefs at each lodge prepare excellent cuisine, and whether you seek tranquillity with a view or enjoy a lively and entertaining dinner with staff singing and dancing to the African beat, the numerous dining locations offer something for everyone.

With 10 spectacular suites designed for ultimate comfort, Sediba Rock Lodge is situated in a green valley, surrounded by the magnificent bushveld with the soothing trickle of an ancient stream in the background. Enjoy a swim in the natural rock pool, relax in the library, lounge or sauna before enjoying a delicious meal at the rock boma under a beautiful night sky.

Mountain Lodge is more intimate, with only 4 high-end mountain suites plus one spacious family suite. The suites offer an unforgettable view of the reserve and are conveniently located at walking distance from the main lodge. Here, you’ll find a well-stocked bar and lounge area with fireplace, infinity pool with sundeck and stunning view, plus an entertaining boma.

Start TestimonialSediba Safari lodge could not have been any better. Our guide, Moyo was so fun and engaged every trip. We were lucky to see the big 5 and so many more incredible animals including the ostrich, hippos, lots of giraffes, zebras and kudus. The service at the hotel was top tier, very friendly and professional. The quality of the food was amazing! Every meal included local ingredients and a variety of options, lots of snacks were available between meal times too on the morning and evening safari. We were so impressed with the beauty of the landscape, our comfortable lodge and the relaxing pool. A truly unique experience for our honeymoon!End Testimonial
