All options are completely superb. All drivers during transfers have been really friendly and professional. Protea Hotel is a fantastic option for families and Gomo Gomo is an unique site for children. Congratulations for your excellent work and organization.
Service at Gomo Gomo was also excellent. They went out of their way to accommodate us and the children, providing room service and off-hours snacks.
We had such a lovely holiday. All the accommodation that you recommended to us was perfect for our needs and [Gomo Gomo] gave us a really intimate safari experience. The managers at Diamond House were very welcoming and it felt like a home from home. We always felt safe and they gave us great restaurant recommendations and booked tours for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Natasha for arranging such a good holiday.
We had a great holiday at Gomo Gomo Lodge. We saw a pride of lion of 6 female, 2 male with 2 cubs! Watching them devour their kill at 4m away is amazing but not a peaceful feast as lots of growls and competition with their cubs playful nearby. After sunrise the cubs came closer to us like 3m away, can see their curious eyes eyeing us. By second day 9 vultures were nearby the carcass. Our car followed 4 wild dogs chasing impalas, we saw one leopard, another time 700 buffalos stream suround our car, lots of giraffe, 8 rhino, hippo with a baby, hundreds of elephants- our car even got chased by a bull elephant near the lodge, and many more.
The ranger inform each other where the game or action are but also to minimize stress to animal only one or 2 cars at a time viewing and we feel private and special thats way. Only when viewing the hundreds of buffalo we feel bit crowded of 5-7 cars arriving at the scene.
Lots of birds at the lodge and nearby we saw big saddle-billed stork.
At the lodge we also can sit down near the pool while watching animals coming to the dam. Observed an elephant chasing away a 2m crocodile! Also lots of birds nest near the dam and hornbills always hanging around near us with its call, pleasant. By night as we had a BBQ dinner in the open area with the fire, we can hear the lions roaring nearby, the hippo grunts and other sounds we can't recognise, all so close by!
The staff are superb! They always smile and are cheerful. As a family of 5 with young kids I have lots of laundry, and one full laundry bag only cost R50!! The Manager explained to us with a smile "We want to serve you, not to rip you off" true to his say, our money had good value here. At the lodge everything was made very nicely - the food was great, water, coffee, choc, tea always available and at night the kids find candy and paper with drawing and story of animals, also candle lit bathtub with fragrance leaves, flower.
Thanks Travel Butlers for recommending this place to us.
What can I say Awsum
The trip was wonderful! Gomo Gomo Lodge was a great place to stay, everyone on the staff very friendly, our ranger and tracker the best ever, the food and service impeccable, I had no complaints except it was too short! I'd highly recommend them and would easily go back.
You did a great job setting up the air/transfers/lodging, so thank you so much for all your expertise...everything went very smoothly. It was a fantastic trip and I appreciate your hard work on my behalf.
Anyway, thank you so much for making this part of my vacation work out perfectly, you have been just wonderful.
The service from Travel Butlers was fantastic. I'm so glad we got to take the holiday we wanted, even though it involved a lot of flying back and forth! Thanks to Tracey for helping us get everything sorted and with a reasonable price tag, too. We were also on a bit of a deadline as we were leaving the country as we were trying to book! I would recommend Travel Butlers, as I would Gomo Gomo, SAA, and the Primi Hotel.
My family is back from our vacation in South Africa. We had the greatest time there. Everything worked to perfection. My concern that Gomo Gomo Game Lodge would not match our expectations was totally unfounded. The rangers and trackers took great pains to show us the animals and chalets at the lodge itself were first class.
I will be happy to recommend your services to my friends should they tell me they are interested in a South African trip.
Thanks for all your work on my behalf.
Excellent lodge to stay at. Great game viewing and you get very close to the wildlife.
I would like to thank you for everything you did to organise our honeymoon.
I understand the pressure I put on you with only 2 days notice but the hotels were all amazing and each offered a different experience. I must say that the Knysna cabin [Knysna River Club] was very relaxing and felt like a holiday from our holiday!
I am sure that, could I have booked my own hotels, our experience would not have been as complete. Your knowledge of the area resulted being placed in the right locations and for a sensible amount of time. Gomo Gomo was indeed a highlight and an absolute joy. Such a beautiful location which successfully keeps a small family feel so you have the opportunity to get to know your guide.
I feel lucky to have been introduced (at the last minute) to your company and will be waxing lyrical your abilities to anyone who cares to know.
Many thanks to you and your team and if I return to Africa I will be sure to be in contact.
Gomo Gomo was excellent. Rooms, service, food and staff were top notch. Kruger Park was a highlight of our entire vacation.
We LOVED our stay at Gomo Gomo! The staff was extremely friendly and the facilities were beautiful. We saw a variety of animals, and the food at the lodge was outstanding.
I would note that if you are dealing with experienced safari go-ers who are looking for a detailed, biological analysis of the plants and animals, another lodge would probably be more suitable.
For your first time or average safari go-er, however, I would highly recommend Gomo Gomo!
Gomo Gomo had excellent accomodation in a very nice setting.
We had a fabulous time and Gomo Gomo Game Lodge was an excellent choice. Our ranger, Arend was fantastic and we got to see 4 of the Big 5, but more than that, he was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about what he was doing, which made it all the more enjoyable for us. It was great, as they were there to collect us and take us back to the airport, and then the lodge itself catered for everything.
The rest of our trip was great. We found South Africa to be a truly amazing country, and we have taken away so many memories!
Thank you for all your help with getting a game lodge for us. It was much appreciated, as I really didn't have a clue!

Like neighboring reserves, the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve has had to significantly increase anti-poaching measures in order to protect not only rhino but other vulnerable species as well. As such, the rate for guests visiting the reserve whose booking was confirmed after 01 November 2018 now includes a Bed Levy, which goes towards ensuring that the reserve remains in pristine condition and helps to ensure the reduction of the camps carbon footprint, as well as a Conservation Levy which is used to subsidise anti-poaching efforts, further develop smart fences, pay additional teams, contribute to the cost of all counter poaching flights, and purchase new equipment to ensure the continual protection of vulnerable species with the reserve. If your booking was confirmed prior to this date, you will be asked to pay the levies at the lodge to assist the reserve in its conservation efforts.
Bush Walks / Walking Safaris
Children must be aged 12 years and older to participate in a bush walk. A guided walk can last a couple of hours and involve walking over uneven terrain that may contain dangerous wildlife in potentially high temperatures.
