Karongwe Private Game Reserve
Becks Safari Lodge combines luxury living and innovative design but what sets this safari lodge aside is its owners' strong philosophies on community development and environmental sustainability, paired with a passionate and dedicated team of staff.
Covering over 9,000 hectares of African bushveld, the private Karongwe Reserve is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) as well as a wealth of other creatures and over 365 different bird species. The open vehicle game drives are perfect for game viewing and are conducted by a qualified game ranger and a Shangaan tracker, who will share their vast experience of the African bush with you. Or head out on foot for a bush walk and explore the true African bush.
The main lodge incorporates an impressive deck with excellent views of the surrounding bushveld. A 20 meter infinity pool helps to combat the warm summers, while an inside fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere for cooler evenings. The outside fire pit provides an idyllic, distinctive way to wind-down the day. There is also a spa for those seeking absolute serenity in between game drives.
With the capacity to accommodate only 20 people, each luxurious and spacious air-conditioned safari suite boasts views of either the Makhutswi River or a popular waterhole, providing excellent game viewing possibilities from its own private deck. Made of brick, metal and canvas, and with a tin roof, relaxation and rejuvenation is promoted with a calming colour palette of silver, charcoal and elephant-grey.
