Victoria Falls - Zimbabwe
The Elephant Camp and it's smaller sister camp Elephant Camp West are luxurious and intimate lodges situated on a private concession and bounded by the Masuwe River and the Zambezi gorges. Both camps have breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls' spray and the spectacular gorges which separate Zimbabwe and Zambia.
There are a variety of activities included in your rate. Guests have the opportunity to explore the wonderful Victoria Falls with a qualified Elephant Camp guide, or enjoy a scenic sundowner trip to Batoka Gorge just down from the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge, which forms part of its backdrop. Birding and nature walks can be enjoyed on the concession, or village visits can be arranged.
The chefs are dedicated to preparing a fine dining experience using fresh seasonal ingredients and herbs grown in the lodge gardens. Traditional African dishes and accompaniments, such as Sadza (African-style polenta) and Chakalaka (a hot spicy relish) further enhance the luxury game lodge experience by giving a taste of the real Africa.
The Elephant Camp offers exclusive suite accommodation for 24 guests in 12 luxury tented suites, each boasting a private plunge pool and viewing deck, ensuring that wherever guests may be, the exquisite scenery is just a glance away. Even the bath offers an unparalleled view of the horizon. The stylish furnishing and décor has been specifically selected to capture the beauty of the natural environment, retaining the authenticity of the African wilderness. All suites are gorge facing, and during sunrise and sunset, the cloud of mist that hangs over the rainforest is illuminated by an array of deep colours that merge between red and orange.
The Elephant Camp West consists of only 4 luxury tented suites, making it ideal for exclusive use by smaller groups and families seeking a more intimate safari experience. The spacious marquis-style tents have their own private deck and personal plunge pools.
