Tsavo National Park
Being very close to the wonderful Kenyan nature, experiencing dawn and dusk with its astounding array of colors, listening to the voices of the wilderness, being one with yourself - the Severin Safari Camp offers all that and much more.
In the heart of Tsavo West National Park, guests will experience a unique combination of adventure, recreation and wellness, a very individual service and culinary delicacies.
Tsavo is home to Africa’s Big 5 – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino, including the endangered black rhino, who now live without fear of poaching in the 90 km² Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, located in Tsavo West. Zebra, giraffe, antelope, spotted and striped hyena, baboons, a large population of hippo, and many crocodiles can also be found in Tsavo. Over 500 species of bird have been recorded.
The scenery in the Park is just as impressive as the wildlife. As well as glimpsing in the distance the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Tsavo West has a volcanic landscape, complete with lava flows and rocky outcrops mingling with the long grass and African bushveld.
The 21 en-suite tented rooms all face the waterholes and the bush. The bedrooms are simply furnished with wall to ceiling mosquito netting over the beds, and a writing desk, and the en-suite bathrooms have flush toilets, double wash basins, rainfall showers and bathtubs.
In addition, there are 2 tented suites which offer more privacy - so ideal for honeymooners - as well as 4 cottages - perfect for those people who like privacy and a more 'solid' feel to their accommodation! The cottages have the added benefit of a small lounge area too.
