Meru National Park
Situated on 80 acres of privately owned wilderness on the border of the extraordinary Meru National Park, Rhino River Camp is a collection of canvas cottages raised on wooden decks suspended among the trees above the Kindani River.
The Meru National Park hosts a large population of elephant, hippo, buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard and innumerable other classic African mammals, along with over 300 recorded bird species.
Whether it’s game viewing, indulging in a relaxing massage, going on a bush hike, exploring one of the numerous trails on a mountain bike or enjoying a fishing trip, or simply soaking up the African sun with a sundowner in the evening, Rhino River Camp offers an excellent blend of adventure and space for relaxation. Guests can also take the opportunity to visit the local villages and learn about the culture of the Meru people and their traditions.
There are 5 spacious double cottages plus the Karen Blixen Suite which is perfect for honeymooners or families. The double cottages are set at different levels, blending perfectly with the tree canopy. Each room comes complete with its own private 'zen' area where guests can meditate read or simply unwind. The Karen Blixen Suite features a master bedroom and a sitting room (which easily doubles as a second bedroom for children), 2 bathrooms and a viewing deck with a private plunge pool.
The main camp has a swimming pool, and a well-stocked bar and restaurant area.
