Directions For Drivers
From Cape Town via the N2: Approximately 2km's west (ie George side) of Knysna town centre, turn left at the 1st traffic light into Welbedacht Road. There is also a Kanonkop sign here. After approx 400 metres (after passing Knysna Hollow) take the first right into Metelerkamp Street. Follow the signs to Kanonkop Guest house and take the right fork, and follow the road up the hill. Half way up the hill take the first road right into Cuthbert Street. As you reach the top of the hill, drive straight into the driveway at Kanonkop House. Address 6 Cuthbert Street. Parking is immediately on the left as you enter the gates.
From Port Elizabeth (N2): Drive through the town of Knysna. The town ends and the lagoon begins on the left hand side. Approximately 1km along the lagoon you will reach the traffic lights signposted Welbedacht Road. Turn right here (this is the last traffic light in Knysna). Approx 400 metres (after passing Knysna Hollow) take the first right at Metelerkamp Street and follow the directions as above.
General Information For Guests
All of the suites have full bathrooms en-suite with a bath and separate shower. They also include under floor heating, heated towel rails, DSTV (selected channels), a sound system and CD player, CD library, a DVD player with IPod docking, free Wi-Fi, a mini bar fridge, hairdryers, electronic safe, fans, tea/coffee making facilities, robes and slippers.
Kanonkop House has a swimming pool, sundeck, outdoor lounge, gin bar, library, winter lounge and a TV lounge. The property has secure parking.
The lounge features a number of magazines, local interest books and light reading material (including some foreign language books and magazines) for guests to enjoy in the common areas, at the fireplace, or to take away with them.
There is an in-house therapist who offers a variety of different treatments and massages (additional cost).
Tea/coffee and High Tea are served everyday from 14:00 to 17:30.
Kanonkop is 5 minutes away from the centre of Knysna, along with the waterfront shops and restaurants.
