Pilanesberg National Park
Situated in the northern region of the Pilanesberg National Park, next to the Bakgatla Gate, lies Ivory Tree Lodge.
Pilanesberg is an attractive 50,000 hectare malaria-free area which is centred around an extinct volcano crater. Today, the Park is home to over 7,000 animals including the Big 5, giraffe, hippo, zebra, jackal, hyena and many antelope, and there are also over 350 bird species.
Guests are guided through the magnificent Park in purpose-built safari vehicles. Each safari vehicle is able to carry a maximum of 10 guests thus ensuring personal attention whilst out on game drives.
Each group of guests is assigned a personal guide who is tasked with interpreting the sights and sounds of the African bush. Your guide will also spend time with you at dinners and is always around to ensure that you remain comfortable during your stay.
The lodge has 60 Standard Suites which have an en-suite bathroom and outside shower, as well as a covered patio area. They also have a covered patio with a splash pool. The Executive Suite has an open plan bedroom/lounge area plus a covered patio with a private splash pool. And finally, the Family Suite consists of 2 rooms and a lounge with a satellite TV, a covered patio and splash pool, and a shared bathroom with an outside shower.
