Hamilton's Tented Camp

Hamilton's Tented Camp

Kruger National Park

Hamilton's Tented Camp Location Map

Named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the world famous Kruger National Park, Hamilton's Tented Camp offers guests unparalleled luxury in an authentic tented camp.

Located in a private 10,000 hectare unfenced concession in the heart of the famous Kruger National Park, the camp reflects a true 'Out of Africa' traditional safari adventure of the early 20th century, where grace and style were the epitome luxurious living.

Morning and afternoon game drives, led by experienced rangers, follow the wildlife through the bushveld for an unforgettable safari experience. Daily walks are also optional guest activities. Some of the drives will be on the lodge's own concession, where your guide will have the opportunity to drive offroad to get you unbelievably close to the wildlife, but others may be in the Kruger Park itself, where your ranger will be restricted to remaining on the road network at all times.

The main lodge is a home to an inviting lounge, scattered with early 1900s objet d’art whilst the opulent dining area adds to the delight of this tranquil spot overlooking the river. Guests can enjoy silver service dining overlooking the river, or private dining and picnics can be arranged.

The accommodation comprises of 6 luxury double tents. Each has a romantic slipper bath and outdoor shower overlooking the Ngwenyeni Dam.

Raised walkways amongst ancient jackalberry trees link the tents to the main guest areas, and create a natural feeling of space and adventure.

Guests can also enjoy a number of spa treatments ranging from foot massages to facials, all with a local Shangaan theme. These may be taken at the poolside area or on the secluded deck of your suite.

Guests may need to move quickly and for a sustained period through rough bush terrain if instructed to do so by their guide. Guests also need to be fully conversant in the English language to understand instructions in dangerous situations.
