Lake Manyara
Escarpment Luxury Lodge is set into the edge of the escarpment which towers over Lake Manyara in Northern Tanzania. You will be able to enjoy this incredible view from the wide and spacious deck of the main lodge - there is also the possibility of sighting some of the wildlife that inhabits Lake Manyara National Park.
The main area is spacious with split level architecture and a wrap around deck to maximise the views. Inside is a lovely colourful bar area boasting comfortable sofas and private spaces for that quiet moment. There is also a computer area tucked away out of view with internet access. The dining area has fantastic views across the lake, and the verandah has tables and chairs that are set for meals in good weather and also overlook the lake and camp fire terrace.
Activities from the lodge include bicycle tour to a local masai village, game drives into Lake Manyara National Park and nearby Tarangire National Park, and short nature walks round the lodge with a Masai guide.
Escarpment Luxury Lodge boast 16 excellently appointed and private chalets. Each chalet has its own private deck from which you can view the lake below you and watch wildlife as it drifts through the lodge grounds. Abundant bird life fills the trees and bushes which grow right up to your deck giving you the sense of being immersed in the natural bush of Africa whilst still luxuriating in your private chalet.
Wooden floors and wide windows and doors add to the natural feel of the lodge and every effort has been made to ensure comfort and luxury - including large beds with sumptuous linen, leather sofas in your own small lounge area, and a large, deep bath from which you can survey the bush and the lake.
