Diani Blue is a charmingly small, intimate and exclusive beach lodge, lapped by the waters of the Indian Ocean and ideally located on Diani Beach, which has been voted the 'Best Beach in Africa’.
Immediately adjacent to all the many amenities of Diani, the lodge is accessed via a bridge over a lily pond and stands amid exquisite tropical gardens, which are home to a troop of Colobus monkeys. Ecologically sensitive, the lodge is also committed to wilderness preservation, energy conservation, recycling and to ‘giving back’ to and supporting the local community that surrounds it.
Diani Blue has been designed to echo the spacious elegance of the colonially styled Swahili villa it once was. There is an al fresco dining terrace, a lounge with private bar, an airy veranda with views over the pool, a dedicated beach health spa and a palm-shaded beach restaurant - The Edge - which looks out over the bay.
Diani Blue features just 6 spacious Swahili-styled rooms (all with air-conditioning) clustered around a central pool and overlooking the silver-white sands and year-round clear-blue waters of Diani Beach. The rooms feature hand-carved hardwood furniture and king-sized or twin beds (with draw-around mosquito nets and fine cotton bedding).
Indigo at Diani Blue is a small wellbeing centre located in a timbered Thai chalet, which looks out over the sweep of the bay and offers a comprehensive range of relaxation and rejuvenation treatments performed by trained professionals and using all natural ingredients. Treatments include a range of massages, aromatherapy, reflexology, wraps, facials, scrubs, manicures, pedicures and grooming options for both men and women.
