WaterLovers is a quaint beach resort on the tropical shores of the Indian Ocean. A mere 35 km from Mombasa, it is located in Diani Beach, on Kenya's South Coast, which is known for its white sands and turquoise warm waters - a perfect setting for a holiday in paradise by the ocean.
The long fine and white beach of Diani stretches along a beautiful 25 kilometres. The beach is very wide although this varies substantially during the day, depending on the tides. The coral reef is 700 metres from the beach and serves as a natural barrier, allowing for flat water inside and wave conditions close to the reef.
This is a perfect destination for kite surf and windsurf lovers. Constant trade winds blow into the spacious, pristine beach and the reef offers flat-water conditions and waves.
For those who want to start diving or already have a diving licence, the reef is extremely rich and offers different kinds of dive spots. Among the most common species are the colourful reef fish, the beautiful sea turtles and the giant whale sharks, which come to the reef between November and March.
Snorkelling equipment and kayaks are complimentary from the Waterlovers Beach House. One of the fishermen’s traditional wooden boats can take you to the coral reef in 10 minutes where you can go snorkelling and explore the wonderful tropical seabeds.
For those who are keen lovers of big game fishing, the Indian Ocean is rich with blue marlins, sail fish and tunas, or golfers can head 5 minutes down the road to the 18 hole course at Leisure Lodge Golf Club, home to the Diani Beach Masters.
The resort offers 8 very spacious Suites, an ocean front Penthouse Apartment and a self-contained Villa, all oceanfront and luxury equipped.
The restaurant is set by the turtle-shaped infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and the structure is reminiscent of Greek architecture - spacious whitewashed arcades with wooden ceiling beams. The food is a combination of Mediterranean and African coast. Roasted pumpkin ravioli in crab and fish ragout, crab fagottini with avocado and lime sauce, passion fruit mousse with white chocolate flakes and mint leaves are only some of dishes that will charm your taste buds.
There is also a beach bar, a spa set in tranquil gardens, and a boutique shop selling local arts and crafts.

General Information For Guests
Waterlovers Beach Resort is located 35 km south of Moi International Airport and 10 km from Ukunda/Diani Airport.
All suites have a spacious private veranda overlooking the ocean and an interior design combining Swahili culture and Mediterranean style. All are equipped with air conditioning, fan, mosquito net, security box, blue-tooth speaker, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a mobile phone with Kenyan SIM card to use during your stay. Double and triple suites are available.
The private villa has two spacious double bedrooms on the ground floor, both with air conditioning, fan and private bathrooms. On the upper floor, in the open gallery, you will find another two kingsize beds and a third bathroom complete with shower. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a porch area with sofas and a beautifully carved, wooden dining table. Housekeeping is included in the rent. For the ultimate luxury the resort can cater your meals directly at the villa, or you can choose to join other guest in the restaurant.
The Ocean Penthouse Apartment offers +300 square meters of luxury ocean-front accommodation with stunning views of Diani Beach and the Indian Ocean. The 4 bedroom penthouse is developed on two floors, and features a range of luxury comfort and media accessories, from gym equipment, to flat screen television, a sound system, and more. Three bedrooms are fitted with AC and all beds have mosquito nets and ceiling fans. The first floor offers a living area with TV and sofas, two double bedrooms with AC and two bathrooms, a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, a dining area and a spacious veranda overlooking the water. The second floor offers an air-conditioned double bedroom and bathroom, as well as a spacious open-plan living area on a beautiful wooden deck, with views over the Indian Ocean, and a kingsize bed. The apartment enjoys panoramic views of the beach, but also of the pool and the lush tropical gardens in the back.
Tides Restaurant is set by the pool overlooking the ocean. There is also a beach bar offering pool and beach-side service throughout the day.
Kite surfing, windsurfing, diving, snorkelling big game fishing, tennis and big game safaris are available at an additional cost.
The Leisure Lodge Golf Club, an 18-hole course, is located just 5 minutes from the resort.
