The Peech Hotel

Johannesburg

The Peech Hotel Location Map

The Peech was originally a private residence built in 1950s and a family home for more than 40 years. Purchased by James Peech in 2002, and first opening its doors at The Peech Hotel in 2004, the property has since been restored and developed to become Johannesburg's original and most iconic boutique hotel, offering 32 beautiful guest rooms.

Sandton, the city's business and shopping hub, is 10 minutes away, and Rosebank (nearest Gautrain) and Melrose Arch are a mere 5 minutes. Johannesburg International Airport is 45 minutes by car. The hotel is opposite the James Gray Park and adjacent to the Wanderers International Cricket Stadium.

The hotel features 2 outdoor swimming pools, set in 2 acres of lush gardens.

The bistro overlooks the hotel's landscaped gardens and features sandstone floors, deep leather couches and a walk-in wine cellar. All dishes are designed to use only the freshest seasonal ingredients from either locally sourced suppliers or their own vegetable garden. The chefs have created a menu that reflects what The Peech is all about - simple, laid-back and chic with an understated touch of sophistication.

The hotel offers a choice of accommodation.  The Luxury Rooms are spread throughout the hotel's gardens. They feature oak floors, huge walk-in raindance showers, and large patios. The Classic Rooms offer lovely views across the gardens and pool area.  Each room has either a private balcony or patio. The Heritage Rooms are located upstairs in the property's original residence and adjacent to each other. They are designed around the character of the old house, and both have beautiful garden views.

The Peech Suites are the most spacious rooms and are located in an especially quiet part of the gardens for the ultimate tranquil urban hideaway. They feature extra large bathrooms and an expansive, open-plan living space.

Finally, the 2 bedroom Villa offers a Master and Second Bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms, connected via a central lounge/TV area.  The villa also features a private outdoor space, with al fresco dining area and water feature.
