We absolutely LOVED Rhino Plains Camp and the rhino walking safari. Our guide Andre was incredible and the camp was incredible. A very personal with fewer guests made it special. His knowledge and genuine love of the animals was infectious.

Rhino Post and Plains Camp were super. They do the little things that make it special. We'd go back again. At Rhino there was a bottle of sparkling in our room on arrival, hot water bottles in the beds, quiet game drives and just the two of us on the first one, great wine cellar and the walks and guides were fantastic. Travel Butlers itself was superb! We learned that you requested certain rooms for us and everything was arranged flawlessly and at a great price. We would certainly call on Natasha again and recommend the company to friends and family.

Directions For Drivers
From Johannesburg/Pretoria: Take the N12/N4 highway to Nelspruit. From Nelspruit, take the R40 through White River and follow the signs to Hazyview. After approximately 45 km, you will go down a steep hill towards a T-junction. Turn left at the T-junction towards Hazyview. In Hazyview, turn right onto the R536 towards the Paul Kruger Gate, Kruger National Park.
There is a Kruger National Park Private Concession gate entry fee payable in cash at the entrance gate - this is currently R110 per person per stay - subject to change.
Enter the Park, and drive straight for approximately 12 km. You will reach a 4-way crossing. Proceed straight across for another 2 km, until you reach a T-junction. Turn left at this junction, and continue for approximately 1 km until you reach another 4-way crossing. Turn right here. You will cross a low water bridge (over the Sabi River), and approximately 4 km later you will cross the Sand River.
Keep heading straight, past the dirt road on the left signposted Maroela Loop. 6 km further, you will pass another dirt road, also signposted Maroela Loop. Approximately 1 km after the second dirt road you will see a dirt road on the left signposted Rhino Walking Safaris. Take this turning and proceed for 2.5 km. The road turns sharply left, after which you will travel another 2.7 km, leading you directly to Rhino Post Safari Lodge, where you must check in prior to your transfer to Plains Camp - transfers depart at 2 pm.
Do not get out of your car until you reach the camp. You may see some wildlife on your way - if you do, slow down and maintain a good distance. Do not drive off-road in any circumstances.
PLEASE NOTE: The Kruger National Park prohibits the use of roads within the Park before the gates are open and once the gates are closed, therefore guests need to plan their arrival and departure times carefully. You cannot arrange to leave the Park before the gates are open, and you must ensure that you arrive at the entrance gate with sufficient time to drive through the Park to reach your destination by the time the gate closes, otherwise you may not be permitted to enter.
