Manyeleti Game Reserve
Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is set among tamboti trees on the banks of a riverbed, in the 23,000 hectare Manyeleti Game Reserve, which adjoins the Kruger National Park.
Morning and evening game tracking drives in open vehicles bring you into close contact with the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) effortlessly and safely.
Highly experienced guides will also take you on an optional morning bush walk to bring into clear focus the magic of the bush with its myriad of busy insects and resplendent birdlife.
From the sundeck of the sparkling swimming pool, you can watch elephant visiting the nearby waterhole to enjoy their own cooling off time.
The reception area has a large lounge, indoor and outdoor dining facilities and a complimentary bar with a climate-controlled wine cellar, stocked with a wide range of fine South African vintages to browse through and enjoy.
Honeyguide Mantobeni offers East African-style tented accommodation to a maximum of 16 guests.
Each tent is equipped with en-suite facilities and furnished in traditional safari style giving the nature lover a close encounter with the sounds and ambience of wild Africa without sacrificing comfort.
Dinner comprises a 3-course meal, served next to a campfire in the open-air boma. Guests dine around one large table, usually accompanied by lively discussion on the days sightings and experiences.

Directions For Drivers
From Hazyview: Follow the R40 towards Klaserie and turn right onto the R531 towards the Kruger Orpen Gate. After approximately 40 km you will see the entrance gate to the Manyeleti Reserve on your right hand side.
For all visitors, there is a R40 entrance fee per person per stay (subject to change) payable in cash at the entrance gate. For self-drive visitors, there is also a vehicle entrance fee of R70 (subject to change) - also payable in cash at the entrance gate. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ENTRANCE GATE TO THE RESERVE CLOSES AT 6 PM AND REOPENS AGAIN AT 6 AM.
Once in the reserve, follow the signs to the lodge.
Do not get out of your car until you reach the lodge. You may see some wildlife on your way - if you do, slow down and maintain a good distance. Do not drive off-road in any circumstances.
From Eastgate/Hoedspruit Airport: Turn right and then turn left onto the R40. Continue along here, and turn left onto the R531 towards the Kruger Orpen Gate, and follow the directions as above.
From Johannesburg/Pretoria: Take the N12 or N4 highway to Witbank/eMalahleni (from Johannesburg Airport, follow signs to Boksburg to find the N12). Follow the N4 highway past Middleburg (Toll Plaza), Belfast/eMakhazeni and Machadodorp (Toll Plaza). Follow the Schoemanskloof option on the N4 and then take the R36 to Lydenburg/Mashishing.
Follow the R36 to Ohrigstad, go through the Strydom Tunnel and take the R527 to Hoedspruit. Turn right onto the R40 towards Klaserie, and continue along this road until you turn left onto the R531 towards the Kruger Orpen Gate. Follow the directions as above.
From Kruger National Park/Orpen Gate: Exit the Park, and continue along the R531. You will see the entrance gate to the Manyeleti Reserve on your left hand side.
General Information For Guests
The tents at Mantobeni Camp are furnished with king size beds (these can be converted to twins should this be required), mosquito nets, fan and soft leather couches. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with a sunken concrete bath, double shower, his & hers basins and a separate toilet and private terrace/balcony.
The tents are each set on a wooden platform that has 5 steps leading up to the tent. There is soft lighting within the tent and mosquito repellent is provided to all guests.
The reception area is comprised of a large sitting area, an outdoor area with a splash pool & sun loungers, a bar and an extensive climate controlled wine cellar
No mobile phone coverage - guests however can be contacted through the camp's telephone. E-mail facilities are available.
