Summary Of The Route and Costs
For a traditional yet luxurious safari holiday, look no further. Flying into and out of an exclusive private game reserve, you will stay in a safari lodge in the heart of a reserve which boasts the highest concentration of leopard in the world, explore the Garden Route from your base at a 5* country house set on its own estate, stay on an historic wine estate in the heart of the Winelands, and finally let your senses be overcome by untold luxury in a boutique Cape Town hotel that is literally 'fit for a queen'.
You begin with 3 nights on safari. Setting the tone for this holiday, you arrive in style by light aircraft, landing on an airstrip in the heart of the exclusive Sabi Sand Reserve. Simbambili is a luxury private game lodge set deep in the bush and your individually decorated suite opens onto a private deck with your own private plunge pool. A sighting of a leopard is, for most people, one of the most prized big cat safari encounters and morning and afternoon game drives take you over open plains and through wooded areas, offering unparalleled opportunities for rewarding sightings of these magnificent creatures, along with the rest of the Big Five.
After your safari you fly back to Johannesburg and then onto Port Elizabeth for one night, before heading to Hunter's Country House on the Garden Route, ideally situated between the coastal towns of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.
Your next stop is Lanzerac Wine Estate, where your bedroom or suite leads onto a patio overlooking manicured lush lawns with a stunning backdrop of grandiose mountains and vineyards.
Finally, you end your trip in Cape Town at the 5* Queen Victoria Hotel, offering luxury and sophistication throughout. When not out and about in Cape Town, relax in the spa, work out in the state-of-the-art gym or sunbathe around the pool area at the neighbouring sister hotel, The Dock House.
