Summary Of The Route and Costs

Relax around a rim flow swimming pool with ocean views at the start of this trip and end with a safari which blends the elegance of a by-gone era with all the convenience of modern facilities.

Your 4 nights in Cape Town will be spent overlooking a private marina at the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront. This 5* hotel's proximity to Table Mountain, Robben Island and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront makes this an ideal place to stay in Cape Town. In the evening Tobago's Restaurant, with views of the ocean and marina, sets the stage for a memorable dining experience.

On one of your days here, you will take a guided tour to the nearby Cape Winelands. South Africa is today one of the major producers and exporters of wines worldwide and has been producing wine since the middle of the 17th century. The Cape Winelands region is set amongst rolling mountain slopes and valleys and the classic colonial style architecture found here is some of the oldest surviving in South Africa. There are literally scores of wine estates and going on this tour will give you the chance to go on a voyage of discovery and find new favourites.

Your time in Cape Town comes to an end when you depart on a direct flight to the Skukuza Airport, the gateway to the Kruger National Park, where you will be met and transferred to your safari lodge.

The 5* Sabi Sabi Selati is situated in the internationally famous Sabi Sand Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park and is a tangible reminder of the grand steam train era. Authentic railway memorabilia has been artfully incorporated into the décor of the camp to create Selati’s unique ambience. Each of the 7 suites, romantically named after long-gone railway stations, is intimate and comfortable and the 'Out of Africa' styling maintains the historical theme.

Unforgettable day and night safaris are enjoyed in open safari vehicles with close encounters with the Big 5 being a regular occurrence. Walking safaris add an extra dimension to the bush experience, allowing a close-up look at the fascinating smaller creatures of the bushveld.

Imagine the Africa of the great safari era, when blazing sunsets melted into lantern lit romance and service was effortless...this is all part of the experience here.
