Summary Of The Route and Costs
This 12 night trip is a brilliant balance of classic city, bush and beach. First, you’ll explore Cape Town and the surrounding areas, then spend 3 nights on safari in one of Africa's finest safari destinations where the big cat game viewing - in particular phenomenal close up leopard sightings - set this reserve aside from any other. Then, you’ll set course for Mozamique's mainland coastline and stay in a small boutique hotel where you can wake up to the sun rising over the Indian Ocean from your sea view room.
For the first 4 nights, you will stay at the Southern Sun The Cullinan, just on the fringe of the famed V&A Waterfront. The classical architecture of the building is reflected throughout the hotel, with high ceilings, a balconied mezzanine level, and soaring columns around the pool area.
For your 3 nights on safari, you will stay at Idube Game Lodge in the exclusive Sabi Sand Game Reserve. On morning and afternoon game drives, you will go out in search of the Big 5 animals, as well as a large variety of other wildife. A great draw card for guests is the leopards and lions, which are seen frequently. Excitement is added by the presence of wild dogs and cheetahs, and the area is also a bird watchers paradise. From early morning, when you are greeted to the dawn chorus, to the evening when the birds settle down for the night, there is always birdsong to add to the day’s pleasure.
To end your trip, you have 5 nights at the Bahia Mar Boutique Hotel, which is situated in the small fishing village of Vilanculos, with views over the ocean to the Bazarato islands. The beach at Vilanculos is an easy walk away.
The powder-white beaches, coconut palms, crystal blue waters, and the superb all-year round climate makes this the perfect holiday destination for anyone looking for a mix of relaxation and adventure. Motorboat trips offer the opportunity to swim with sea turtles or dolphins, or enjoy a relaxing day trip to explore the azure waters and stunning coral reefs of the nearby offshore islands that make up the Bazaruto Archipelago.
