This is an African adventure in true comfort and style. Stay in an original homestead in a 5* suite overlooking the bushveld, going on game drives to see wildlife that includes elephant, spotted hyena, leopard, large buffalo herds, rhino, hippo and even the rare pangolin. Then its off to a hotel overlooking the Victoria Falls, where 5* luxury meets nature's majesty.
Take a step back in time at the gracious and historic AndBeyond Kirkman’s Kamp. The moment you walk into the main guest area you’ll think you’ve been transported back in time. The fact that the lawn has warthog grazing on it instead of a neatly dressed party playing croquet does nothing to dispel this illusion - in fact, it all adds to the ambiance of this 1920s South African homestead.
After this, you'll jet off to Livingstone, home to the torrential, majestic Victoria Falls. The Falls are bursting with overwhelming beauty and simply have to be seen to be believed. The Royal Livingstone is only a 15 minutes walk from the Victoria Falls and as a Royal Livingstone hotel guest, you have unlimited free access to the Falls via the resort's own private entrance. Guests can also enjoy 3 walking trails throughout the entire Falls Resort. Or, if your idea of a holiday includes doing absolutely nothing at all, then any one of the hammocks dotted alongside the river are sure to catch your fancy, or you could laze by the pool right on the banks of the Zambezi River with breath-taking views and a cocktail.
You will need to clear Customs and Immigration upon arrival at Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport. Collect your luggage, then make your way to the Domestic Departure Terminal and check in for your next flight. Passengers are required to check in at least 90 minutes before the flight departure.
South African Airways SA8861 (Economy Class): Fly from O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) departing at 10:00 to Skukuza Airport (SZK), arriving at 10:50
Once you have collected your luggage, make your way into the Arrivals Hall where you will be met and transferred to Kirkman's Camp, in the exclusive Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
Take a step back in time at the gracious and historic AndBeyond Kirkman's Kamp. Set out on daily morning and afternoon game drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle with fellow guests - the Sabi Sand Game Reserve is well known for its leopard sightings and you may well spot one of these elusive cats resting after a successful night hunt. Your professionally trained guide will ask you about your favourite wildlife and will do their best to ensure that your preferences are met, whether it is tracking a particular species or spending more time enjoying each sighting and getting to know the habits of the animals.
Today enjoy a full tour of the Falls from both the Zambia and Zimbabwe side (PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL NEED TO GET A VISA TO CROSS INTO ZIMBABWE - ADDITIONAL COST AND FOR GUESTS TO ARRANGE). A knowledgeable guide will take you on an unforgettable experience through the Victoria Falls rainforest, a journey that not only affords a view of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World but provides a great deal of interesting facts about the geology, wildlife and history of Africa's most famous landmark.
This afternoon you will be collected for your afternoon sundowner cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. Relax with a sundowner and snacks as you gaze out onto the banks of the river, and have your camera ready to capture one of the most amazing sunsets in Africa.
Today, you will be collected for a morning game drive in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park - situated along the upper Zambezi River, and stretches for about 12 kilometres up the Zambezi River above the Falls. It is only 66 square kilometres, so because the Park is small, it affords a wonderfully relaxing drive alongside the river for much of the circular route, and the wide variety of species can be easily seen. The Park provides a home for numerous antelope species, zebra, giraffe, warthog, and a variety of birds and smaller animals. Elephants cross the Zambezi and freely walk through the Park and the surrounding area.
You will be collected and transferred back to Livingstone Airport, arriving in time to check in for your flight back to Johannesburg.
