The Serengeti
Ubuntu Migration Camp is a traditional mobile safari camp, which follows the wildebeest herds through the Serengeti. From May until mid July, the camp is situated in the western Serengeti to watch the wildebeest travel northward and cross the Grumeti River.
Start the day with a wake-up call and tea or coffee. Enjoy breakfast after your morning game drive (or have it packed as a picnic). Arrive back at camp mid-morning, with a chance to freshen up before lunch.
After a leisurely lunch, enjoy siesta time. Take a nap, read a book or just relax and soak up the atmosphere. Refuel with afternoon tea before you depart for an afternoon/evening game drive. You'll be back in time for drinks around the campfire and dinner - the perfect chance to unwind after a long day in the bush.
Retire to your comfortable bed to the soundtrack of the Serengeti’s nocturnal animals.
Ubuntu’s 8 tented rooms are spacious under-canvas landscape-oriented safari tents, designed to balance traditional safari authenticity with pure comfort. Each room has kingsized beds (twin beds and triples are available) and en-suite bathrooms with hot-water safari bucket showers and flushing toilets.
The family tent is made up of two bedrooms, one featuring a kingsized bed and the other with two single beds. Both bedrooms are en-suite with traditional bucket showers and flushing toilets, all connected by a communal lounge area.
