The Skeleton Coast

Terrace Bay Restcamp is located at the northern extreme of the Skeleton Coast National Park in west Namibia, and is the only accommodation in the park. Imagine an industrial portacabin village, add a howling onshore wind, a thick blanket of fog and some truly terrible food and you are starting to get the picture.Cradled between the dunes and the sea, Terrace Bay is a popular destination for anglers. Formally a diamond prospecting camp in the heady days when the Skeleton Coast filled the minds of many with the allure of riches; it now serves as a springboard for visitors to explore the surrounding area.
Options that are available, range from fishing, bird watching, exploring the adjacent dune sea, hiking in the Uniab river delta or viewing the wildlife from a hide situated in the delta
