The Serengeti
Situated on a slope above a beautiful waterhole and the Grumeti River, Faru Faru is set in the private Grumeti Reserve, within the Serengeti.
Throughout the Great Migration months of June, July and August the camp can literally teem with game and in the dry season, after the great herds have departed for greener pastures in the north, the area draws in large concentrations of resident wildlife. Elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, gazelle, impala and topi all seek life-sustaining water from the river.
Even in places where the river runs dry, water flows just beneath the sand and many species dig to find it. Still others congregate around the remaining pools of the river. Because the animals gather here all through the year, Faru Faru offers a constantly changing and completely private wildlife spectacle.
The organic lines of 2 rim-flow swimming pools echo those of a watering hole that lies just below. The elevated viewing decks over the watering hole allow guests to view game without even leaving their lodge, and a Swahili-inspired 'beach' offers the opportunity for some serious rest and relaxation.
The main lodge area offers a dining room, bar lounge with satellite television, DVD player and library, outdoor barbeque area and The Singita Shop. Spa and gym facilities are also available.
Singita Faru Faru Lodge offers a contemporary style to your safari experience.
The contrast of stone and canvas against cutting-edge design and comfortable furnishings is integrated in 9 open-style suites, including one Family Suite and a Villa Suite.
