South Luangwa National Park
Robin's House is the perfect place for a family safari, honeymooners and guests looking for a little privacy. The house is booked on an exclusive only basis, and is located on the same stretch of private land as Nkwali Camp.
The area is superb game viewing country, with a beautiful area of ebony woodland and open grasslands. Set on the banks of the Luangwa River, guests staying here can often see as much wildlife around the camp as they do on game drives into the Park itself, including leopard, lion and occasionally wild dog.
This particular area of the Park is accessible all year and so the game is very relaxed and used to the vehicles. This gives great photographic opportunities as the game allows the vehicles to get close.
Although the house is just outside the National Park, the game drive vehicles access the Park by either by boat (2 minutes) or via the camp's pontoon (10 minutes away). The main bridge across the river to the Park is also only 15 minutes away.
At the start of your safari the guide and hostess will sit with you and discuss all aspects of the stay from food to bed times. The hostess is there to ensure that each child has the best safari possible for their age and interests. She is also able to look after the children if they want to stay behind and miss a drive, and there is a wide range of activities for the children to do to keep them amused.
There are 2 luxury bedrooms (a double and a triple), each with its own large bathroom (both shower and bath), and a central sitting room and dining area.
There is a private kitchen and chef, along with a valet, so meals can be served where and when you like, which can be particularly important for families with children.
There is also a private guide and safari vehicle for the game viewing activities so the pace of the safari can be totally flexible.
