The location of the Palm River Hotel could not be more idyllic, situated as it is along the banks of the iconic Zambezi River, among towering indigenous trees and only 4 kilometres from Africa’s Natural World Wonder, Victoria Falls - so close, in fact, that on a clear, quiet day you can hear the thunder and see the spray of the mighty waterfall from your room.

The restaurant has large sliding doors that open out onto an idyllic riverfront vista. The dining experience flows onto to a large patio and out onto an al fresco dining space, sheltered by a canopy of indigenous trees. The restaurant offers an à la carte menu serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to hotel guests and day visitors, while the cuisine reflects the natural setting, using fresh, local ingredients.

There is also a large outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel has 73 rooms. Guests have the choice of Deluxe Rooms, Deluxe Suites, Executive Suites, Honeymoon Suites, a Presidential Suite and the Palm River Villa.

Elegantly appointed with comfort and space in mind, the interior design of the rooms is focused on bringing the outside in, with the stylish use of natural tones, locally sourced materials and artwork reflective of the area. The well placed rooms all offer expansive views of the riverside garden from the bedroom balcony, allowing guests to feel up close and personal with the mighty Zambezi River.

The Deluxe Suites are perfect for families as they are made up of 2 deluxe rooms which both interlead into a shared lounge area.

The Honeymoon Suite is nestled in the treetops and has a relaxing outside lounge and hanging day bed as well as a starlit outdoor shower.

The Palm River Villa is made up of a twin Deluxe Room a Honeymoon Suite and an Executive Suite and comes complete with dining and lounge areas, and a private swimming pool.

General Information For Guests

The Deluxe Rooms have air conditioning, mini bar, satellite/cable TV, balcony, hair dryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, ceiling fan, safe, and tea/coffee making facilities.

The Deluxe Suites are on the ground floor and consist of two bedrooms (one with a kingsize bed and the other with twin beds) joined together by a lounge and private outside veranda.

The Honeymoon Suites have a spacious balcony with a day bed and outdoor shower, and a gold bath tub in the bathroom, and a 4 poster bed in the bedroom. 

The Executive Suites have a separate lounge area and balcony overlooking the Zambezi River with a day bed.

The Presidential Suite has a spacious bedroom, lounge and private outside lounge/balcony area with views of the Zambezi River.

The Palm River Villa has 3 bedrooms, a private lounge, kitchen/dining area, private swimming pool and patio/garden.

The main guest areas include a swimming pool, spa, restaurant, bar, curio shop, and a gym.

There is a complimentary shuttle bus services to/from Victoria Falls.

A laundry service is available (additional cost).

In-room dining can be arranged on request.

Guests can enjoy complimentary daily afternoon tea served between 15:30 and 16:30, including a variety of sweet treats, teas and coffees served near the restaurant and offering a relaxing Zambezi River view.
