Ndutu Wilderness Camp

The seasonal Ndutu Wilderness Camp is an intimate tented camp set in the Ndutu area of the Serengeti eco-system from December to March, co-inciding with the annual wildebeest calving season. Nestled under shady trees on the Ndutu plains, this camp allows guests to enjoy the wealth of wildlife that has made these sun soaked plains so renowned.

During this crucial time of the year there are plenty of predators to see, including lion, cheetah, leopard, serval, African wildcat, caracal as well as striped and spotted hyena.

Aside from game drives, walking safaris may be undertaken, and for those that want an experience they’ll never forget, a hot air balloon safari is the way to go.

This intimate camp offers traditional ‘under canvas’ bush camp accommodation, great Tanzanian hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

With just 10 spacious tents, guests can enjoy a sense of privacy and comfort. Each of the spacious safari tents are comfortably furnished, with solar lighting, an en-suite bathroom and a lovely shady verandah.

The central dining tent complements the comfortable lounge and bar area which is a great place to relax in the cool evening air.

Rates Include

Full Board Package: Ngorongoro Conservation Area fees; camping fees; all meals; snacks; bottled mineral water; and tea/coffee throughout the day are included. Game drives are taken with your private driver-guide.

Game Package: Ngorongoro Conservation Area fees; camping fees; all meals; snacks; bottled mineral water; 2 shared game drives per day with a Ndutu Wilderness Camp guide; transfers to/from the nearest airstrip; and tea/coffee throughout the day are included.

Children Policy

Children aged 6 years and over are welcome. Rates available on request.

General Information For Guests

The tents all have bucket showers, solar lighting and an eco-friendly W/C.

The main area consists of the dining tent, central lounge area with maps, reference books and a selection of board-games, a well stocked bar and a campfire.

Activities that are available at Ndutu wilderness camp include game drives and bird watching.

Hot air balloon safaris can also be arranged (additional cost).

Battery recharging facilities are available in the main tent.

The camp has no Wi-Fi.

Credit card payment facilities are not available at the camp.

A laundry service is only available for guests staying a minimum of 3 nights (additional cost).
