Etosha National Park
Namutoni is situated on the eastern side of the Etosha National Park, and derives its name and character from the old German fort around which it is built. The camp is close to Fishers Pan - a wonderland of water birds in the wet season including breeding flamingos.
The Fort, which overlooks the King Nehale floodlit waterhole, is the hub of activity with 2 restaurants, a relaxation lounge, a bar, crafts boutique, curio shop, jewellers and bookstore.
An elevated decked walkway along the waterhole provides views of the surrounding scenery, wildlife and spectacular sunsets.
There is also a swimming pool.
Morning and afternoon guided game drives, as well as night drives, can be arranged with the camp for those not wanting to drive themselves around the Park all the time.
There is a choice of accommodation at Namutoni.
Visitors can choose from en-suite double rooms which offer comfort and privacy, or the more spacious bush chalets, which are also en-suite. Sliding doors give access to a relaxation area in the front of the chalet while an outside shower is reachable via the bathroom.
