Situated high on the Kuka Hills on a 10,000 hectare private concession, just beyond the boundaries of the Serengeti, AndBeyond Klein's Camp overlooks the vital corridor linking the Serengeti and the Masai Mara, offering some of the best panoramic views of these 2 iconic destinations. Sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and hills provide hours of endless entertainment, and resident giraffe and elephant are also often spotted moving leisurely on the nearby slopes.

As well as twice-daily game drives, guests also have the opportunity to experience bush walks, night drives and also go off-roading in search of intimate wildlife encounters in open safari vehicles with a canvas canopy. Because the game drives are conducted in a private concession, you will not encounter vehicles other than those from Klein’s, allowing the rare luxury of relatively private animal sightings while benefitting from the wildlife 'riches' of the neighbouring Serengeti.

The camp also overlooks a popular route used by the herds of the Great Migration when moving between north and south so that, twice a year, the valley below are filled with a jostling throng of zebra and wildebeest. However, this wildlife-rich area delights at any time of year and the Klein’s concession is famous for its enormous prides of lion, as well as some of the best leopard viewing in Tanzania.

Guests can also take a 3 hour trip to the community living near Klein's Camp to visit an authentic Masai village, where they will be invited into a Masai home for a glimpse into their daily life. The traditions and ways of the Maasai have remained largely unchanged for centuries.

With just 10 thatched stone cottages, Klein's Camp provides an experience that is both personal and intimate. Each cottage has an en-suite bathroom and private veranda with breath-taking views over the surrounding hills and the valley below.

The stone interiors of the main guest areas also open up to breathtaking panoramas, with open fireplaces to keep the chill away. Stone floors and deep leather armchairs invite you to while away the hours, with bound tomes and classic African memorabilia for company. Fine linen, silver and china sparkle in the candlelight in the open dining area.  The camp also features a beautifully furnished bar and sitting area and a Safari Shop that features locally-made Masai crafts. And even the swimming pool has stunning views too!

Children Policy

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children 12 years and younger cannot participate in the regular game-drives. Child minders can be booked at an additional cost.

General Information For Guests

All of the rooms are en-suite with indoor showers and have mosquito nets, an in-room safe, hair dryers and a private veranda with breath-taking views. A gym in a bag is available on request.

The family cottage can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children (3 children can be accommodated on special request).

The lodge features a beautifully furnished bar, dining area, with a main lounge with a fireplace, safari shop and a swimming pool.

Activities that are available at Klein's Camp include twice daily game drives, night drives and bush walks.

Visits to the Masai community can be arranged (additional cost).

In-room massages can also be arranged (additional cost).

Each guest room has a complimentary pair of Swarovski Optik binoculars.

Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards are accepted.

A laundry service is included.

The camp is not fenced off and it is requested that guests be extremely vigilant at all times. Guests will be accompanied by a member of staff when walking around the camp at night.

The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) is not permitted in any of the conservation areas managed by AndBeyond, until such time as their impact on wildlife and anti-poaching initiatives can be assessed.
