Pemba Island
Fundu Lagoon is a remote and peaceful resort, only accessible by boat. Set on a beautiful beach in the south west corner of Pemba Island, it is privately owned and run with a love for the natural environment that surrounds it.
Pemba Island is the northern most island of the Zanzibar archipelago, and is home to some of the world's leading dive sites. Fundu Lagoon has a fully equipped dive centre offering a fleet of boats and the marine life is excellent, even when snorkelling. Water skiing, wind surfing and fishing are also all available.
The nearby mangroves are also easy to explore by canoe, and sunset dhow cruises are a romantic way to take in the surrounding beaches and islands.
The resort's facilities are amongst the best in the region. From the open-sided restaurant, to the 3 bars and beautiful infinity pool, every comfort is complimented by the soothing ease and atmosphere of Fundu itself.
The Spa uses Fundu's own range of beautifully blended infusions to capture the unique magic of the location.
Wooden walkways and sandy paths lead to 18 Makuti thatched tented rooms and suites, all with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.
The suites have their own private plunge pool and private sundeck, so are perfect for couples or honeymooners.
All rooms have ceiling fans and mini bars.
