Footsteps Camp Location Map

The Footsteps Camp is in a remote part of the Okavango Delta and home to 2 safaris. Firstly 'Footsteps Across the Delta' - a walking safari; and secondly 'Young Explorers' - a specialist family safari experience.

If you embark on a Footsteps Across The Delta safari, the emphasis is on exploring this breathtakingly beautiful and diverse environment as the first African explorers did, either by mokoro (dependent on water levels) or on foot. Walking in the wilderness is the highlight of a true safari experience. The focus is on exploration and discovery, such as tracking fresh spoor each morning to reveal the previous night's events. Guests will be in the hands of the best professional guides whose first passion is to interpret and bring to life every aspect of the bush.

The Young Explorers package is a specially designed safari which offers families the opportunity to discover the wonders of the African wilderness together. One of the special attractions of this safari is its exclusivity as one family will take out the entire camp.

A selection of activities are planned with the whole family in mind. Parents can enjoy some peace and quiet whilst an expertly trained Young Explorers guide entertains the children with a multitude of activities to suite all ages. Activities are designed to be both educational and inspiring, and the time spent at the Young Explorers camp is sure to leave a lasting impression and fond memories in the minds of all the family.

Accommodation in the camp is in 3 spacious Meru-style tents with comfortable twin beds. All tents are furnished with en-suite facilities, hot water filled bucket showers, porcelain flush toilet and a daily laundry service. One of the 3 twin bedded tents can be converted into a family unit that sleeps 5.

The ‘bush kitchen’ is run by your chef who prepares menus to whet all appetites.
