Directions For Drivers

From Cape Town International Airport: Exit the airport and take the N2 to Cape Town. As you approach the city, follow the N2 CITY, FORESHORE, SEA POINT signage. Follow N2 Stad/City signs for 22 km until you arrive at the Walter Sisulu Avenue traffic lights. The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is on your left hand side and the V&A Waterfront on your right hand side. Proceed straight over the intersection.

Cross over 2 more intersections (Buitengracht Street) and at the 3rd traffic light, turn right onto Strand Street. Continue along this road, and then turn right into the 4th road on your right (Vos Street/Loader Street).  Almost immediately, the roads makes a 90 degree turn to the left. Carry on straight and turn right into Dixon Street.

Check in at The Charles 137 Waterkant Street situated on the corner of Dixon and Waterkant Streets on your left. The De Waterkant Village reception is located here.



General Information For Guests

The reception is located at The Charles. Here, guests can check in, collect their room keys, and then they will be shown to their accommodation. The reception is open Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 20:00, and on Sundays from 08:00 to 17:00.

De Waterkant Village is part of the Village n Life Group.  All guests are offered access to the 24 hour Village n Life Control Room. The Control Room has direct access to the senior management of Village n Life, Embassy or Consulate offices, and other essential and emergency contacts. The Control Room contact number: +27 (0) 21 430 4100.

The property is patrolled by security staff on a 24-hour basis.

There is a service centre located on the premises with friendly and professional staff. Late arrivals can be arranged at an additional charge after reception hours. Service centre hours are 07:00 to 23:00.

Uncapped Wi-Fi is available for all guests during their say. There is a one off connection fee of R50 (subject to change).

The Café Charles is located at located at The Charles Guest House and serves all-day breakfasts, light lunches and delicious coffee. The cafe is open 7 days a week, Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 22:00 and Saturday/Sunday (including public holidays) from 08:00 to 16:00.

Parking is very limited in De Waterkant Village; however, secure underground parking is available at the Cape Quarter Shopping Centre at an additional cost. The parking area is centrally located and within easy walking distance to the main shops, boutiques, restaurants, and other activities.

Laundry and dry cleaning services are available (additional cost).
