Sossusvlei and the Namib Desert
This 12 day camping tour gives you the opportunity to meet new friends while enjoying the highlights of Namibia.
Begin your tour at the spectacular Table Mountain in Cape Town, and travel all the way up to the Namibia border via the Cederberg and Namaqualand. Canoe along the famous Orange River, before actually crossing the border into Namibia and travelling to the Fish River Canyon, where you can enjoy a scenic walk and watch the sunset over Africa's 2nd largest canyon.
Travel onto the Namib-Naukluft National Park, and set up camp. Enjoy a short hike into the Sesriem Canyon, then relax and marvel at the star-studded skies and the silence of the Namib Desert.
Hike up Dune 45 to catch the sunrise from the top, and explore Sossusvlei, and go for a guided hike with a local expert to learn more about the unique desert ecosystem and how the Bushmen survive in the harsh desert conditions.
Travel onto the adventure town of Swakopmund, where quad biking, tandem sky diving or sand boarding are just some of the activities available here.
Drive through arid landscapes to the granite Spitzkoppe Mountains, and enjoy a guided walk - for the more adventurous there is also the opportunity here to try some mountain climbing!
Continue your adventure in Kamanjab, where you can experience life within a Himba tribe, and go on exciting game drives in the Etosha National Park, which is the venue for some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa.
The tour ends back in Windhoek, where you can relax at Joe's Beer House for a final group meal.
