The Serengeti
Set amid the rocky area known as the Moru Kopjes in the southern part of the Serengeti, Asanja Moru is a luxury bush camp that boasts an idyllic setting combined with a variety of wildlife.
Located on the path on the migration, one of the most dramatic spectacles on earth, it is here that the wildebeest, zebras and gazelles group together and start their annual pilgrimage, stretching as far as the eye can see.
The nearby kopjes rise up from the flat plains, and provide ample shade for the prides of lion that spend most of the day lazing about here, waiting for an opportune moment to hunt.
Start the day with an early morning game drive out on the open plains, before slowly heading back to enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by a siesta or just enjoying a good book on your private verandah. Finish the day’s events with a sundowner on Asanja hill with cocktails, snacks and the beautiful sunset.
The camp has 7 en-suite luxury bush tents, with each tent representing a special Masai ceremony with its own story to tell. The tents are all distinct and and have a private verandah with scenic views of the Serengeti. The Family Tented Villa consists of 2 adjoining en-suite tents and a spacious living area and private outside sitting area.
In addition there is also the exclusive sleep out experience. Set up for you in a remote location, settle down to a private dinner in the bush before spending the night under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of grazing wildebeest (must be pre-booked).
