Cape Town
The 5* Steenberg Hotel is situated on the Cape's oldest wine farm, a mere 30 minute drive from the bustling heart of Cape Town. The hotel nestles in the tranquil Constantia Valley, against the slopes of the Steenberg Mountain, offering sweeping views over False Bay. The hotel buildings, dating back to 1682, were painstakingly restored and have been declared a National Monument.
The estate boasts its own world renowned working winery, which produces a selection of celebrated wines including some of the finest Sauvignon Blanc in South Africa. Guided tours and wine tasting are available on request.
Named after the year in which Steenberg was established, Bistro Sixteen82 has become Constantia’s darling for tapas and bistro food. An innovative and interactive wine and food destination, the Bistro sits adjacent to Steenberg’s winery, and spills into indigenous gardens with a terraced dining area leading onto reflective water features, unfurling into views of the magnificent stone mountain and expansive vines.
