A few weeks ago we were delighted to be able to travel to Africa for our first safari since the end of the covid travel restrictions.
It was so good to be back in Africa after so long away, and we are pleased to report that the accommodation, food and hospitality on this trip were outstanding, and the transport arrangements flawless. It really was just like the good old days!
We stayed at 5 amazing camps in the Greater Kruger area, and each one of them offered an outstanding safari experience and generous African hospitality. Our thanks go to everyone at Simbavati River Lodge, Kings Camp, Kapama Buffalo Camp, Mala Mala, and Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge.
Of course, the most important part of every safari is the wildlife, and we had some spectacular sightings including numerous leopards and lions, elephants with young babies, and even rhinos with little ones charging around. The bush was beautiful and green, and the occasional rain passed through quickly enough.
Below are a selection of the 1400(!) or so photos we took on this trip.
