Inyati Game Lodge – One of the Good Guys

This week, we wanted to do a quick shout out about one of our favourite lodges – Inyati Game Lodge.

Inyati are located in the world-famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve and set right on the Sand River with views across the river to the undulating Sabi Sand grassy plains.

With just 11 rooms, you are guaranteed a personal service and safari experience. Highly qualified game rangers with tracker teams take you out on morning and afternoon guided game drives in search of Africa’s Big Five – rhino, elephant, lion, buffalo and leopard – as well as the multitude of other wildlife that reside here. It is the unrivalled leopard sightings in particular that set this area aside from other reserves and make a safari here very special indeed. Off-road driving enables guests to get very close to the wildlife, adding to the excitement.

Each room is air-conditioned and the lodge has complimentary Wi-Fi. There is a main swimming pool and a small gym for those looking to work off the wonderful food you will be served for breakfast, lunch and dinner and on game drives. For the wine lover, there is walk in wine cellar.

We first visited Inyati when we were setting up Travel Butlers many years ago and ever since that first visit, it has been a firm favourite. This was the lodge I trusted to give my mother her very first safari experience when she visited us while we were living in South Africa and this is the lodge I have recommended to close friends also experiencing their first safari – and repeat safari in some cases. This is also the lodge we have sent many, many clients too, all of whom have had a fantastic safari experience.

But what has made Inyati stand out for us this past year has been their totally flexible approach to the Covid-19 situation. Not only have they been able to help us postpone many bookings, they have honoured the very original rate first charged to the client. We have one client who is now postponing their trip for the 4th time and Inyati have not increased their price at all.

In recognition of this outstanding support, we in turn would like to show our gratitude with this ‘Best Lodge Shout Out’ at a time when the travel industry needs to recognise the good guys in the world.
