A Month By Month Guide
There is never a 'bad' time to go to Africa. Every month has something different to offer the safari goer - be it whale watching off the coast of South Africa; seeing thousands of wildebeest brave strong river currents and hungry crocodiles in East Africa; or spotting a leopard up a tree in one of the private game reserves adjoining the Kruger National Park. For beach lovers, one of the endless sandy beaches around the African coastline are waiting for you to relax on a sun lounger and sip a cocktail under the shade of a swaying palm tree.
Our month by month guide will give you the lowdown on where is, in our opinion, THE best place to travel to, recognising that some people are governed by school holidays or work commitments, so they are not always able to be totally flexible with their holiday dates.
We have also indicated where and when you can pick up some 'safari savings' - travelling outside of peak periods can help to make your budget work a bit harder if you need it to!
