FULL ITINERARY
Day 1 Nairobi - Arusha
A shuttle service will drive you from Nairobi to your overnight accommodation, located approximately 60 km outside Arusha, in the northern highlands of Tanzania, beneath the twin peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 2 Arusha
The city of Arusha is surrounded by some of Africa's most famous landscapes and National Parks. Situated below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley, the city is close to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro and the Arusha National Park. As you have the day at leisure, an option is to take a taxi into the town of Arusha and explore.

Day 3/4/5 Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater
The next few days are set aside for the 3 night camping excursion into the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. The Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site, famed for its annual migration when some 6 million hooves pound the open plains. The Serengeti offers arguable the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa, great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, impala and gazelle. On the first day from Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater, there will be time for visiting Olduvai Gorge and museum.

Day 6 Arusha
Today you exit the Ngorongoro Crater and make your way back to Arusha. In the afternoon you have the opportunity to visit the local Masai Mara Museum and Snake Park in Arusha.

Day 7 Nairobi
After crossing the border into Kenya you continue to travel towards Nairobi. Founded by the British in 1899 as a simple rail depot, the town quickly grew to become the capital of British East Africa and eventually the capital of Kenya in 1963. Usually you enjoy a group meal out at one of Nairobi’s excellent restaurants.

Day 8 Masai Mara
You leave the capital and travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Today, the tour enters this huge area of spectacular game viewing to photograph some of Africa's most abundant wildlife. Famous for the annual migration of around 1.5 million wildebeest, the Masai Mara is also home to many other animals, including lion. A cultural interaction with Kenya's native Masai people completes your experience.

Day 9 Lake Naivasha
After an early morning game drive in the Mara, you depart towards Lake Naivasha for a relaxing day on the lakeshore. You can go hiking in the area and activities include game and bird watching. One of the more popular optional activities is to go game viewing from a bicycle. An alternative way to spend your afternoon is to take high tea at Elsamere, the former home of Joy Adamson, best known for her autobiographical novel Born Free.

Day 10 Lake Nakuru
Today you will travel north to Lake Nakuru where you will spend the afternoon game driving. Originally created as a bird sanctuary, Lake Nakuru was upgraded to National Park status in 1968. White rhino inhabit the transitional savannah area surrounding the lake, with excellent photographic opportunities.

Day 11 Nairobi
Leaving Lake Nakuru, you head towards your final destination, Nairobi. Your tour comes to an end upon arrival in Nairobi and tonight you will again have the opportunity to enjoy a meal out together in one of Nairobi’s many restaurants.
