Exeter River Private Game Lodge
Set on the banks of the Sand River, Exeter River Private Game Lodge is situated in the world famous Sabi Sand reserve adjoining Kruger National Park. The lodge boasts one of the finest locations in the whole reserve, and elephants, buffalo, and other game are frequently spotted in the river from the lodge itself.
One of the longest established lodges in the area, Exeter can trace its history back to the 1930s, and this heritage is reflected in the large comfortable suites, teak furniture, finest linens and ornaments from the 4 corners of Africa. This truly is a world class lodge in a world class game reserve.
A crystal clear swimming pool is a wonderful area to relax between game drives, or there is a small gymnasium.
Evening meals are served either under the stars in the boma or in the magnificent lounge and dining area which overlooks river and the savanna beyond.
The suites are amongst the most luxurious in the Sabi Sand reserve, and each boasts a private sun-deck overlook the game-rich area surrounding the lodge.
All the rooms have large luxury bathrooms, a lounge area, and private pool and outdoor shower.

All meals, teas and coffees, 2 scheduled game drives daily in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker, interactive bush walks (one hour) accompanied by an experienced armed tracker, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, soft drinks and bottled water, and a laundry service are included. PLEASE NOTE: For all visitors, there is a cash entrance fee of R20 per person (subject to change) to enter the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which is payable at the entrance gate. Self-drive visitors must ALSO pay a R110 per vehicle entrance fee, also payable in cash at the entrance gate.
Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 6 are not allowed on game drives, but shortened game drives (FOC) may be arranged with the lodge subject to availability of Land Rovers and rangers. Children aged 6 to 11 are allowed on game drives at the Lodge Manager's discretion. Children under 12 are not allowed on bush walks. Babysitting services are available.
