Masai Mara
Located on the slopes of Oloongams Hills on the eastern boundary of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge enjoys views over some of Africa's prime game-viewing land.
Guests can enjoy a wide range of activities, including game drives within the Mara reserve, which is only a short drive away.
The Mara reserve is home to an abundance of game, including the Big 5, as well as being the annual migration destination for massive herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle.
Other activities include visits to Masai manyattas, walking safaris and hot-air balloon rides (additional cost).
In between activities, cool off beside the fresh-water pool, and relax and enjoy the spectacular views over the valley.
In the evenings, join fellow guests for a pre-dinner cocktail, before enjoying an African barbeque accompanied by traditional dancing and themed African nights.
Set in matured wooded gardens, the main guest areas are decorated in an ethnic fashion, that reflect the rich Masai culture and art.
Accommodation consists of 88 traditional round rooms and 12 suites, each with thatched roofs. Every room has a private, elevated verandah on which guests can relax and enjoy the views.
The rooms are also decorated in a traditional Masai style, and have a truly rustic atmosphere.
