Diamond Beach Village offers a rustic Robinson Crusoe experience. The Village is situated on the island of Manda, and is located on the beach front with amazing views of the open ocean, Lamu Island, Shela Village and dhows sailing past. It is the perfect place to come and relax for days or weeks, away from the stresses and strains of everyday life.
There are no cars on Lamu or Manda, the only form of transport is donkey or boat, both of which are an experience in themselves. The pace of life is inevitably slow and relaxed.
Accommodation is in beach huts called bandas or a unique Tree house. The bandas are traditionally designed with high windows, and the sea breeze flows through making them the ideal retreat from the African sunshine. Each banda is en-suite and has a front porch, which is furnished with tables and chairs so that you can relax in privacy. The Tree house is built on 3 floors around a baobab tree.
