Summary Of The Route and Costs

A classic Namibia self-drive circuit, taking in all the holiday highlights you would expect from this diverse and beautiful country.

Your first night is spent in the capital city of Windhoek, allowing you to rest and recover from your international flight.  Then its a bright and early the next morning for the 5 hour drive to Sossusvlei, home to towering red sand dunes which move with the wind.

You then head to Swakopmund, Namibia's coastal play town, where you can go quad biking, sand boarding, take scenic flights - or just relax and enjoy the quaint German architecture.

Mowani Mountain Camp is your next destination. Go in search of the desert elephants who have made their home here, or just lounge by the pool with a good book and the stunning views.

Etosha National Park is your next stop for 3 nights, where the landscape is varied and jam-packed with wildlife. For 2 nights you stay in the Park itself, and your last night is in a luxurious lodge famous for its breathtaking sunsets over the Etosha Pan itself.

Finally, you end your trip at Okonjima. Situated halfway between Windhoek and the Etosha National Park, the 55,000 acre Okonjima Game Reserve has some of the best accommodation in Namibia, but the highlight is definately the cheetah and leopard safaris. The AfriCat Foundation, which is based here, rehabilitates cheetahs, wild dogs hyenas and leopards and there are opportunities to see these beautiful carnivores in their natural environment.
