Over 10 days, you'll explore Kenya from north to south, spending time in both the arid, volcanic landscape of Samburu and the caramel-coloured plains of the Masai Mara. In both reserves, you'll stay in lodges that welcome families with open arms and provide all kinds of exciting distractions for the kids.
You'll top off your trip on an exotic beach which is perfect for sun-worshippers and water-babies alike. With a whole host of activities on offer, from snorkelling to kayaking and windsurfing, there's no risk of being bored.

Arrive into Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta Airport. You will be met once you disembark from the plane and assisted through Immigration (including help if required with visa application and processing), luggage collection and Customs (luggage screening).
You will then be accompanied to meet up with your driver and transferred to your hotel.
Having a full day in Nairobi will give you not only the time to recover from any lack of sleep from the international flight, but also Nairobi is worthy of a visit. In the company of an experience tour guide for the morning or afternoon, you will visit the Giraffe Centre, where you get to meet giraffe very close up and personal, the Elephant Orphanage, which is a surrogate home to orphaned elephant calves and rhinos from all over Kenya before they are re-introduced back into the wild again.
This morning after breakfast, check out and you will be collected and transferred to Nairobi Wilson Airport.
Safarilink 23: Fly from Wilson Airport (WIL) departing at 10:20 to Samburu/Lewa Downs Airstrip, arriving at 11:30
You will be met at the airstrip, and transferred to Samburu Intrepids, arriving in time for lunch. Samburu Intrepids is a lush oasis on the banks of the great Uaso Nyiro River in Samburu Game Reserve. The tented luxury camp is a delight to be in - deliciously cooled by the river breeze and the forest. The camp sits on raised decks overlooking the brown river where the elephants sometimes make an appearance or the crocodiles come out to lounge by the river's banks.
Samburu Eco-System
After breakfast you will be transferred back to the airstrip in time to take your flight to the Mara.
Safarilink 31: Fly from Samburu/Lewa Downs Airstrip departing at 09:30 to Masai Mara Airstrip, arriving at 11:00
You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to your safari camp. The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular and most visited African game reserves. A true 'Out of Africa' safari destination, the reserve is mostly made up of open plains, baked golden by the African sun. Big cats, elephants, giraffe, wild dog, buffalo, rhino, hyena, wildebeest, gazelles and impala are just a few of the many animal species that may be spotted on your daily game drives (no night drives are allowed in the actual reserve itself), and hundreds of bird species have also been recorded. The sheer density of game and birdlife makes this an exciting and rewarding safari destination, for first-time safari goers or for returning safari enthusiasts.
Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airstrip in time to take your flight to the Kenyan coast.

At Ukunda airstrip you will be collected and transferred to your beach hotel.

The Kenyan Coast
You will need to check out of your room this morning but you can remain at the hotel and use all the facilities until you are collected for your transfer back to the airport. Alternatively, if you have an evening flight, the hotel may be able to arrange a late check out for you (additional cost and payable directly to the hotel) subject to the availability of the room.
